Rector scholarship
The Rector's Scholarship is a merit-based funding initiative established by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP), dedicated to promoting global education by providing full or partial tuition support for highly qualified non-Indonesian citizens admitted into its Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.

Scholarship Coverage
FULLY FUNDED for MASTER PROGRAM
- Free tuition fee (4 semesters)
- Monthly stipend IDR 2 Million*
- Book allowance IDR 1.5 Million/Semester*
- Research allowance IDR 5 Million/Study Period
- Health insurance at UMP Clinic for minor illness (max coverage of IDR 5 million/year)
- 5 months free Indonesian Language Course (starting April 2025)
- Free student dormitory for 10 months from August
FULLY FUNDED for BACHELOR PROGRAM
- Free tuition fee (8 semesters)
- Monthly stipend IDR 1.5 Million*
- Book allowance IDR 1 Million per Semester*
- Research allowance IDR 5 Million/Study Period
- Health insurance at UMP Clinic for minor illness (max coverage of IDR 5 million/year)
- 5 months free Indonesian Language Course (starting April 2025)
- Free student dormitory for 10 months from August
PARTIALLY FUNDED
- Free tuition fee (4-8 semesters)
- Health insurance at UMP Clinic for minor illness (max coverage of IDR 5 million/year)
- 5 months free Indonesian Language Course (starting from April 2025)
- Free student dormitory for 10 months from August
*The awardee of the fully-funded scholarship will receive the stipend when the academic calendar starts (September 2025).
Eligibility & Required Documents
ELIGIBILITY
- Non-Indonesian Citizen
- Not older than 25 years old for bachelor program; 35 years old for master program
- Having finished secondary school/bachelor
- Being able to speak Indonesian Language (for non-English taught departments)
- Having academic and non-academic achievement
- Having good attitude and good command in English
- Willing to obey rules and norms at the university
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Scan of passport (valid at least 24 months)
- Photograph with red-colored background (formal)
- Health certificate (medical check up from hospital)
- Latest academic transcript in English
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of motivation & finishing study commitment
- English Proficiency Test Certificate (TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS)
- Indonesian Language Certificate for applicants of non-international class program (mandatory)
- Recommendation letter from the nearest Indonesian Embassy in home country or from your Embassy in Indonesia
