Purwokerto – The university held an Information and Education Session on Overseas Employment Opportunities in collaboration with the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) on 5 November 2025, located at the Syamsuhadi Irsyad Auditorium, 10th Floor of the AR Fachrudin Building. The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of safe, legal, and competitive international employment opportunities.
The program began with opening remarks delivered by Vice Rector III, Drs. Ikhsan Mujahid, M.Si, who emphasized the importance of preparing young graduates to face the dynamics of the global job market.
The main session was moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Supriyadi, featuring two speakers from KP2MI: Mr. Wawi Suroso, S.Pi., M.E. and Mr. Rodli, S.Pd., M.M. The speakers presented comprehensive insights into overseas job opportunities, migrant worker placement procedures aligned with national regulations, and government protection mechanisms for Indonesian workers abroad.
The event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants actively inquired about destination countries, workplace safety, and registration procedures for migrant work programs. Selected questioners received gifts as a token of appreciation.
The program concluded with the presentation of certificates and souvenirs to the speakers by Mr. Condro Nur Alim, Ph.D., Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs. This initiative is expected to equip students with a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges of working overseas, preparing them to enter the global workforce with confidence.
