Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) recently had the honor of hosting Mrs. Julia Kudamusi, the representative of the Zimbabwe Embassy, in a special visit aimed at strengthening collaboration and engagement with Zimbabwean students studying at UMP.
The visit began with a series of meetings with UMP officials, including the Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs, and key staff members. Mrs. Julia also had the opportunity to meet with the Vice-Rector, where discussions focused on the experiences of Zimbabwean students at UMP and potential avenues for collaboration between Zimbabwe and the university.
Following these meetings, a “Morning Talk” session was held with Zimbabwean students at UMP. During this interactive session, students engaged in a lively Q&A with Mrs. Julia, raising questions about academic challenges, cultural adaptation, and general support for international students. Mrs. Julia offered valuable guidance and encouragement, sharing insights to help students thrive both academically and personally during their studies in Indonesia.
The event concluded with a group photo, marking a memorable moment of connection between the Zimbabwean Embassy and the UMP community. This visit not only reinforced the university’s commitment to supporting international students but also highlighted the growing partnership between UMP and Zimbabwe.
